I want to thank everyone in this community for your patience with me while I took a break from being online. Unfortunately, a break from socials also meant a break from book club. I’m currently fighting the worst reading slump of my entire life, and I need your help to break it.

I initially had the thought of skipping a December book entirely and starting fresh again in January, but the mods convinced me to do a book for December. I asked @Poetry.Shaman to pick a book for us, so without further ado, the Fantasy & Frens December BOOKS are Monk & Robot Duology by Becky Chambers!

DECEMBER 1-15: A Psalm for the Wild-Built

DECEMBER 16-31: A Prayer for the Crown-Shy

These books are novellas, so they are very short! Perfect for the busy holiday season and filled with light and hope. I hope these are the books I need to cure my slump. I hope you’ll join me on December 1st to start reading Monk & Robot! ✨🤖
